About

Richard Fekete

I started this business because of my love of and 30 years experience with fine art and framing. Through my desire to provide quality custom framing, I decided to pursue my dream of going into business for myself.

Countryside Gallery & Custom Frame Design was originally founded as Countryside Stitchery in 1979. In 1981 it transitioned from a stitchery business into a wildlife gallery and eventually into a Bucks County artist's gallery and frame shop in 1983. I purchased the business in the fall of 2014. Since acquiring the business, I've engaged in small renovations, working steadily to improve the look, feel, and variety of original artwork and artistic services that we offer. I have also worked tirelessly to improve the quality of every project so that our archival materials will both protect and preserve whatever item we are custom framing for decades to come.

Countryside Gallery is more than just a frame shop. We offer artistic services beyond the usual frame shop including art selection, art commissions, cooperation with local designers, document, textile and painting repair and restoration, and other work that requires a hand finished touch. We pride ourselves on our ability to find solutions where others might refuse the work. We are very customer focused, and excel at individualized projects that require artistic attention to detail.

With 60+ local and nationally award winning resident artists and monthly art exhibitions, Countryside Gallery loves to support local artists. We have traditional Bucks County artwork, but we also have several contemporary painters and photographers. We don’t want to pigeonhole the gallery and are constantly striving to be fresh and interesting. In conjunction with local businesses we display original artwork at The Temperance House, HBS Designs, Opus Elite LLC, Calm Waters, Relic, and Rocco's at The Brick . We are host to a Small Works Showcase from November through January as well as a Plein Air festival each summer with AOY.
